Job Description: Candidate will assist in the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of complex Oracle databases, applications, and data warehouse environments. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of proven professional experience working with Oracle database technologies. Specific technologies include Oracle application development, data warehouses, and ETL (extract, transform and load) processes. Candidate will interface directly with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy custom database solutions.
Job responsibilities include:
- Working with clients on defining requirements and features.
- Develop and write high-level and detailed design specifications.
- Design and build robust Oracle database applications.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
- Support testing, integration, and deployment efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineer required. Must also have 3 to 5 years of industry experience. Oracle Certifications a plus.
- Strong proven skills in Oracle 11i development and customization utilizing Oracle best practice methodology.
- 3-5 years of overall development experience, with at least 2 years as a certified Oracle Developer.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of Oracle 11i applications including Oracle Applications (GL, AP, AR), Framework, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, and Unix Shell scripting.
- Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse development.
- Oracle 9i/10g and additional database environments (MSSQL, MySQL experience is a plus).
- Application development experience using JAVA.
- Proven exposure to the entire system development lifecycle, including the design, development, implementation and testing phases.
